Faithfulness Amongst Unbelief

As we return to the Gospel of Mark series this week, Ryan Johnston focuses on the first few verses of Mark, chapter 6. In this passage Jesus is astonished at the unbelief of the people in his hometown; his family and friends literally take offense at his teaching. Yet Jesus displays three principles in living among family, friends and society at large: 1) Persistence of belief, 2) Priority of belief, and 3) Burden of belief. Does our belief compel us to action? Are we persistent in sharing the truth of Jesus? Is our belief centered on the truth of the Gospel?
