Build Family

A build initiative allows our church family to come together in faith to fund a God-inspired vision that advances our mission. This initiative isn’t just about buildings. Instead, it’s about creating spaces and resources that help us reach more people, deepen discipleship, and serve our greater community for years to come. 

Our goal is to raise $5 million over 24-month/2-years to provide a safe, welcoming, and accessible space that fosters connection, supports family ministry, and serves as a multi-generational hub for our community. This goal reflects both the prayerful discernment and the practical planning of our church’s leadership. 

Every dollar raised is an investment in our goal to ‘give our lives to what outlives us.’ This initiative enables us to live that mission more fully and fruitfully.

Absolutely not! Matthew 6:21 reminds us, “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” As a church, our deepest concern is for your heart. This initiative is first and foremost a spiritual journey. It is an invitation to grow in faith, obedience, and trust. It’s an opportunity for our entire church family to lean into God’s provision, deepen our dependence on Him, and experience the joy of generosity together.

All gifts will be tracked separately and used exclusively for the initiative’s designated purposes. Oversight will come from both church leadership and trusted advisors, ensuring transparency and integrity.

If we exceed our goal, the extra funds will be applied to additional priorities aligned with the initiative’s vision (God has given us an abundance of Kingdom vision). In the unlikely event we raise less that our goal, our leadership will reassess priorities and adjust the scope of the project reasonably and responsibly.

We are committed to spending no more than what is pledged and will not take on long term debt like a mortgage or bonds. To manage and balance the cash flow and timing of contributions coming in versus construction expenses going out, we anticipate establishing a line of credit that would be paid off in a timely manner. This is a more cost-effective way to manage the construction schedule rather than waiting until we have received all the contributions or, alternatively, facing disruptions to construction as contributions come in.

Yes—regular updates will be shared to keep everyone informed and encouraged. We’ll provide regular financial progress reports along with key construction milestones, and we’ll share more frequent highlights as meaningful progress happens. Along the way, we’ll continue celebrating stories of how God is working through Build Family to keep the focus on people and mission, not just the project itself.

The campaign will begin on April 12, 2026 and conclude on May 10, 2026, though the spiritual and community impact will continue far beyond that timeframe.

We have an immediate need to relieve the overcrowding in our family ministry areas, so ideally construction will begin as soon as possible; perhaps as early as fall 2026. The actual start date will be determined by how soon God’s people convert their pledges into cash contributions.  Once construction begins, we expect it to take approximately 1 ½ years.

We anticipate completing the project in two primary phases: the Children’s Area and the Student Center.

Construction phasing will ultimately be determined by the sequencing and requirements of the project. As plans are finalized, that timeline will guide the order in which spaces are addressed.

That said, our goal is to remain as functional as possible throughout construction by focusing on one ministry area at a time—either Children’s or Student Ministry—rather than disrupting both simultaneously. As each phase begins, the impacted ministry will temporarily relocate to other areas of the building. We will communicate clearly and consistently so families and students know exactly where to go and what to expect each week.

This will be a complicated “dance” that will require the cooperation and support of the entire congregation. The specific details of this will be worked out over the coming months, but we are planning around these considerations: 1) the construction will be phased to different areas at different times to minimize the impact; 2) for the safety, security and convenience of the children and their families we intend to keep them within our building.

Begin with prayer. Spend time regularly talking with God about your involvement in this initiative. Ask Him to guide your heart and reveal His will for your participation. Take time to reflect on how God has blessed you and how you might use those blessings to make a difference for others through this initiative. A sincere, ongoing conversation with God is the best way to prepare your heart.

Pray for unity, faith, and generosity. Ask God to provide for His work through His people, and that our church would be a shining example of what it means to trust Him fully.

No. The initiative invites every person to seek God’s guidance and give according to God’s leading and their ability and faith. What matters most is participation. It’s not about equal gifts but instead, Christ-led sacrifice.

Your involvement is what matters most. We encourage you to give according to God’s leading. Listen for what God is leading you to do and, when you hear from Him, just say yes!

Typically, initiative commitments are fulfilled over a 24-month or 2-year period, allowing flexibility and intentionality in your giving.
